But if the condition of the non-enlightened sentient being is illusory, what is it that the “holy person,” the seeker, eliminates? The elimination of illusory suffering will be illusory merit; illusory effort dedicated to an illusory goal. Only those who attain Realization through illusion, earning no merit, save the entire universe. |
